This activity is about supervising firestopping teams on site installing curtain wall seals, in other words firestopping at junctions of floor slabs in non-structural curtain walling to maintain compartmentation. This includes arranging for work to take place at site, allocating individuals to carry out work, ensuring that the appropriate resources are available to installation teams, resolving problems and communicating information about the progress of works. It also includes monitoring the quality of firestopping installations as they are being carried out, to ensure that the work of firestopping teams complies with the requirements set out within the project specification.
